YouTube Music, Now preinstalled on Android 9 and 10 devices

Google announced that all new devices that have Android 9 and Android 10 operating systems, including Google Pixel phones, will have YouTube Music as the default music application,  replacing the well-known Google Play Music. This was reported by Brandon Bilinski, Product Manager of YouTube Music in a statement from the company's official blog.

How does YouTube Music work?

This application works similar to the pioneers in the segment of music streaming, for example, since the free option allows the reproduction of music according to user preferences and recently, in May of this year, it launched an update for Play the music files available in the internal memory of the devices in formats such as MP3, WAV, AAC, among others.

This last function gives users the option of forming their own 'playlist' without having to leave the application, so that they can combine their own content and online.

On the other hand, if the user prefers to pay the monthly subscription (Music Premium), which today is for 14,900 pesos with a free trial month, he will have the option to listen to the musical content without interruptions and avoiding the usual ads of the YouTube platform . It also allows the user to download the songs and content of their choice so that they can consume it 'offline'.

Similarly, YouTube Music has an interface compatible with Android , iOS operating systemsand recently it can be opened from web browsers. Google announced that, although in versions before Android 9 the application will not be installed by default on the devices, users can download YouTube Music directly from the Play Store.

Like Spotify and Apple Music, YouTube Music provides family plans to share the same family unit with up to five members. In the first access to the platform the user is inquired about their musical tastes, while the application recommends others according to previous searches on the free YouTube platform.
